REPORT IRS SCAMS


With the coming of “Tax Season” we are observing a rise in the number of complaint calls pertaining to individuals being scammed by subjects impersonating IRS Agents. Commonly, the victim will receive a call from an individual or individuals claiming to be IRS Agents stating the victim owes back taxes and must make payment immediately or be arrested. The IRS has issued a number of public announcements both on TV and in print media warning the public of this fraud but we continue to see a large number of individuals who have fallen victim.



Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) is currently investigating all IRS Impersonation Scams and takes the matter seriously.
